de Havilland Support Ltd (DHSL) gained its initial UK CAA civil design approval on 2 April 2001. Since that date the range and scope of approval has been expanded both to keep pace with the changing regulatory position and to allow the Company to offer a wider range of services to its customers.

BCAR A8-21 A1/A2 DOA/POA Approval

DHSL Design and Production activities are controlled by its BCAR A8-21 DOA/POA Exposition & Procedures Manual.

Type Responsibility Agreement (TRA)

DHSL discharges Continued Airworthiness responsibilities for those examples of the DH82A Tiger Moth, DH89A Dragon Rapide, DHC-1 Chipmunk, and Scottish Aviation Bulldog aircraft which have been enrolled in the respective TRA.
The approval is granted under BCAR A5-1, paragraph 4.

DHSL discharges design-related activity in support of the UK military registered Chipmunk aircraft under a Design Approved Organisation Scheme (DAOS) approval granted by the UK Military Aviation Authority.
